The DNN 2.0 can reduce unwanted sounds by up to 12 dB – while preserving the clarity and natural quality of the remaining sounds. Interviews with teens found that the presence of wind noise, handling noise, and soft and loud sudden sounds disrupted their communication and speech understanding.³ To address this, Oticon Play SI includes new technology designed to manage wind and handling noise, and deal with disruptive sudden sounds effectively, while preserving speech.

4D Sensor technology is off by default for Oticon Play SI and must be manually enabled in Oticon Genie 2. MoreSound Intelligence 3.0 will still operate adaptively, but without the additional support the sensors provide. The decision to enable 4D Sensor technology should be made by the hearing care professional based on the child’s listening environments, their ability to manage them, and feedback from the child.
